the harvest festival of baisakhi was celebrated at city vocational public school on 13 april 2023 with great fervour. Children followed the punjabi theme and came in vibrant punjabi attires. Bringing and sharing punjabi cuisine was the attraction of the day.
A special assembly was conducted on the occasion. The school principal ms. Anita tripathi enlightened the students about the various aspects of this harvest festival . Together with their teachers they matched step to the vigorous rhythms that are customary on this occasion. Dhol beats and punjabi folk music added to the fun and excitement. They also enjoyed singing baisakhi songs with their teachers.
Well planned activities to acquaint the students with this harvest festival were carried out from class nursery to ii, like samples of corn with their innovative craft ideas by using bud painting & finger printing, wheat grains, etc. Dhol craft activity was also performed by kids like paper pasting and then decorating it with stone stickers. It was a delight to see the tiny tots engrossed in these activities which were consciously designed to nurture the students curiosity about baisakhi.
