"Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame."
International Yoga Day observed on June 21st, is a global event that promotes the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of practising Yoga. City Vocational Public School organized a special event to commemorate this day, aiming to create awareness about importance of Yoga and encourage students to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
To deepen students' understanding of Yoga, the school Yoga instructor guided students through various asanas (yoga postures) and breathing exercises.
Students were introduced to different breathing techniques, such as Anulom Vilom and Kapalabhati. These techniques were taught as tools to improve concentration, reduce stress, and enhance overall mental well-being.
The highlight of the event was a large group yoga session including students, teachers, and staff. Led by experienced Yoga instructor, the session was a collective practice that fostered a sense of unity, teamwork, and well-being among the participants.
The event successfully highlighted the holistic benefits of Yoga, including its ability to enhance overall well-being, boost concentration, and manage stress.
The School Principal Ms. Anita Tripathi inspired the students to incorporate Yoga into their daily lives and embrace a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
