The school is affiliated to CBSE and according to its guidelines the evaluation system of the school is formulated. Our examination system and promotion rules are consistent with the concept of evaluation developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the policy envisaged by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Kindergarten

KG classes are assessed in scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas throughout the year. Summative assessment happens at the end of a learning period to evaluate cumulative learning.

Progress reports are shared with the parents at the end of each terminal examination. Promotions are made after the annual examination based on overall performance throughout the year.

Classes I to V

Academic year has two terms:
1. First Term(April to September)

  • I Periodic Test of 20 marks are conducted in the month of July.
  • Half yearly Examinations of 80 marks are conducted in the month of September.

2. Second Term (October to March)

  • II Periodic Test of 20 marks are conducted in the month of November.
  • Annual Examinations of 80 marks are conducted in the month of February/March.

Classes VI to VIII

Academic year has two terms:
1. First Term(April to September)

  • I Periodic Test of 20 marks are conducted in the month of July.
  • Half yearly Examinations of 80 marks are conducted in the month of September.

2. Second Term (October to March)

  • II Periodic Test of 20 marks are conducted in the month of November.
  • Annual Examinations of 80 marks are conducted in the month of February/March.

Classes IX and XI

Academic year has two terms:

  • I Periodic Test of 20 marks are conducted in the month of July.

  • Pre-Board Examination will be conducted in the month of December.
  • Mock Board Examination will be conducted in the month of January.

Type of assessment for classes X and XII

  • Based on CBSE pattern (periodic tests, half yearly examination, practice papers and pre board examinations including components like projects, practicals and internal assessment).

Promotion Policy

Promotion to the next class is granted to the student on the basis of his/her overall performance during the academic session, such as academic regularity, tidiness and overall behavior etc.

  • 1. In an academic session there will be 2 Periodic Tests and two term exams for classes I to XI. It is mandatory for all the students to attempt. Only an exemption due to medical or any other genuine reason will be considered.
  • 2. A student can claim medical leave once in an academic session.
  • 3. No weightage or rank/position will be given due to absence or medical reasons in any exam.
  • 4. A student must score minimum 40 percentage as per the school’s guidelines to get promotion to the next class.
  • 5. 75% attendance is compulsory to appear in exam.
