Great people do not die physically, they may not be visible to us, but they always remain in the heart of their well wishers. It is true with the founder of the school also, he is still alive in the hearts of all through his ideals and memories. Here at CVPS the child is prepared for life and its challenges by providing an effective educational program.
Besides academics, sports are also considered as an integral part of the overall development. So in the fond memory of the revered founder Late Shri C S Agarwal the school organized an Interschool Basketball Tournament. The Chief Guest of the day Mr. Manish Bansal, Municipal Commissioner, Meerut and the Guest of Honour Dr.Sarojini Agarwal, Chairperson of the institution was welcomed with a green bouquet by the Director Mr. Prem Mehta and Principal Ms. Anita Tripathi. The event commenced by paying hearty homage to the founder Late Shri C S Agarwal followed by kindling of lamp.
The distinguished guests of the event declared the opening of the tournament by releasing balloons and pigeons free in the sky. In the event 10 teams of the district had participated. The passion and craze towards sports was evident on 17 November 2021 with loads of claps and cheers. Day one witnessed four exciting matches.
The Semi final and final matches were organized on Day 02 i.e on 18 November 2021. The final match was played between St. John’s and CVPS in which St. John’s was declared as the winner of the event and CVPS grabbed the first Runner up trophy. The tournament culminated with the best wishes of the Chairman Dr. O P Agarwal and Dr. Himani Agarwal, Managing Director of the school who blessed the participants for their future by presenting them with the cash prize of rupees 1000 each. Principal Ms. Anita Tripathi extended heartfelt gratitude to all the players from distinguished schools, Officialss, teachers, students and supporting staff for their exemplary efforts.
